My sister tells me I need a better lock for the gate in the back yard.
And while she is not technically wrong, I feel like it is a “band-aid” on a much bigger issue.
The first time Jonah eloped out of the back yard, he kicked out a board from this exact gate and crawled through.
Then, when I secured the boards, he figured out how to climb up the gate to unlatch it.
Now, even if the latch is holding tight or locked… he’s now doing THIS.
