So Jonah woke up sick this morning.
I took his temp and it came back about 104° F (40°C). 😳
I gave him some Tylenol and it seemed to help.
I took him in to get tested and the results came back “inconclusive.” So we have to test again tomorrow.🤦♂️
Jonah will not lay down on his bed or a couch or anything because he refuses to acknowledge he is actually sick.
He keeps saying “all done sick! I want ‘feel better!’” He wouldn’t leave his chair in the dining room. (I feel you, buddy)
So here he is.
I put some chairs around him and he fell asleep on them.
Poor guy.
The last few days have been pretty rough. And I realize I have been dwelling on the “bad” and all the things that could go wrong.
That’s a road I don’t like traveling often.
So, what ‘positive’ things can we pull out of this mess?
We have had lots of help! Auntie stopped by and dropped off a bunch of new toys for Jojo to play with. Daddy is doling them out sparingly so the novelty lasts the week at least.
Papa has also helped out by dropping off some fast food.
Jonah was sick enough that he was actually willing to take medicine (just the powder form) in order to feel better! That’s progress. Most days, he won’t even so much as take a vitamin.
Let’s see, what else…
I learned that Jojo will eat popsicles! (Hey, “new food,” right?)
I still feel okay and am well enough to be able to take care of the boys.
Oh and then I guess I don’t have to worry about taking Jojo to [all the places] or to “see the geese” now since both the boys are now sick. I don’t need to be in two places at once anymore. I can just stay here and take care of them at home.
So I don’t need to worry about THAT anymore.

Hopefully we get through this quickly.
Hopefully me and Mama stay healthy.
And hopefully things start to improve from here.
