Took jojo to his favorite outdoor spot today.
It’s been a difficult week and I find that just walking the beach, even in freezing cold temperatures, is a good way to help me reflect on different situations.
I thought a lot life… about Grandma … about my friend who passed a couple weeks ago… about the upcoming challenges…
Jojo’s went through his normal year-round
“beach routine” and even ate ice cream in the freezing cold.
The ice cream shop wasn’t open when we arrived (Daddy fail), and we waited outside for 45 minutes until it finally opened.
Jojo was such a trooper. I have found that using my phone or watch timer as a concrete figure for “how much” really helps relieve the anxiety Jojo feels having to “wait” for something to open.
We sat there for a long time. I don’t remember how long.
I’m having a tough time focusing on things right now.
I’m having a tough time remembering things I should.
I’m having a tough time managing my anxiety and sleeping at night.
So much is running through my head.
I’m just having a tough time.
“The beach” is my go-to place when I’m stressed out…
We must have stayed until the sun went down.
