So I initially could…(video)

So I initially couldn’t figure out how Jonah’s hair was cut.

I didn’t get a call home or anything.

My biggest fear was that he was being bullied and someone else did it.

His teacher is typically VERY good about communicating with me so I didn’t think it happened at school. Maybe on the bus? 🤷‍♂️

So I asked Jonah what happened.

I didn’t have a lot of confidence of finding anything out.

He was completely non-verbal just a few years ago and now he can relay his wants and needs to a degree… but that’s about it.

So I asked him a series of questions and gave him two answers to see if I could figure it out.

From his answers here, he was telling me that he cut his own hair while at school with clippers.

Which… why would anyone have CLIPPERS at school?

So I called the office and inquired.

Apparently his teacher was out today and they didn’t have a sub. So they combined with another SPED class with older students.

The teacher did her best, but she had double her class load from 5th grade all the way down to kinders.

She had to walk one of her students to the bathroom leaving the class with the paras and of course THATS exactly the time Jojo chose to attack his hair. (With scissors, not clippers).

I’m not upset. I get it. It happens. Jojo just likes to be a little “coco-pugs” sometimes. It could have been something so much worse.

Oh well. Lesson learned.

Nobody got hurt. Nobody is being bullied.

And hair grows back.

Just Jojo being “Jojo.”

To quote Skippy-Jon Jones’ mother…

“What am I going to do with you, Mr. Coco-pugs!?”

🤦‍♂️🤪🤣
