When Jonah was diagnosed with autism (level 3) back in winter of 2016, he had virtually NO spoken vocabulary.

Oh how far we have come.

In addition to the questions he can answer in the video, Jonah can now also answer identifying questions.

(What school do you go to? Who is your teacher? Etc)

He even memorized my phone number and can write it down.

The end goal here isn’t to “get him to talk.” It’s to equip him for life.

If he learns to communicate verbally, great.

But if not… great.

What we are teaching him are tools he can use with OTHER people should he ever become separated from us.

These are all valuable tools he has worked very hard to achieve.
