My little trooper….

My little trooper.

It’s been a while since we’ve had a lot of medical stuff with Jonny.

I’ll take that as a blessing.

When Jonny was an infant, It seemed like we were in and out of the hospital, doctors office, or specialists office at least every week.

Surgeries on his hips… on his palate… ear tubes. Genetic testing. Recastings. Check-ups. Follow-ups.

Then therapies. Developmental specialists. All that stuff.

It’s been so long since we dealt with the medical side that Jonny doesn’t even remember it.

And I am glad for that.

But with the pursuit of a diagnosis for Kabuki Syndrome comes another array of medical “stuff.”

Right now, it is just to make sure there are no issues or problems that are commonly associated with Kabuki Syndrome.

This was for an EKG yesterday.

Today, he had an ultrasound of his kidneys.

Next up, his actual genetic test…

Then the upteenth hearing test.

There’s probably more stuff after that, but we’re Just taking it one thing at a time.
