For me, before Jonah was diagnosed with Autism, I didn’t know ANYTHING about it.

For me, before Jonah was diagnosed with Autism, I didn’t know ANYTHING about it.

Frankly, my level of ignorance was embarrassing.

Now, a little more than 2 years after Jojo’s diagnosis, I’ve finally come to a better understanding.

But not how you may think.

Sure, I’ve met plenty of people on a similar journey as us, but I really don’t KNOW what life is like for them.

I don’t understand “Autism” in general because no 2 people are exactly the same, and it’s a HUGE spectrum.

I AM an EXPERT in my child.

And if he has traits that may be considered part of the Autism Spectrum, then I guess I am an expert in OUR shade of the spectrum.

Because Autism is a part of him. And I know and love everything about him.

Everything that makes my child uniquely himself is precious.

EVERYTHING.

I would have it no other way.
