So, it took about a week and a half and plenty of Vaseline/chapstick but I think we finally got him to stop peeling his lips.
Jojo HATED when we applied anything to his lips, but he seemed to tolerate it better when mama applied it with her finger (as opposed to an applicator)
I just held him in my lap, and held his hands down, exactly how it started with haircuts… and he screamed and cried and wiped his lips with his sleeve.
But by the end of the week, he didn’t fight it quite as much and treated it more like a mild annoyance. (Which it was)
He still feels at his lips all the time now, but has at least stopped peeling them.
So hopefully, we can keep his lips from getting chapped and we will be sure to keep him well-hydrated all summer.
