It’s only about noon here right now.
At 3:45am, this morning, I thought I heard a knock on the front door.
I got up, adrenaline pumping, went downstairs and was ready for … anything.
It wasn’t a knock on the door…
It was the cat.
…jumping off the table onto the hard wood floor. And even though Jojo slept good and long last night, I couldn’t fall back asleep.
That’s how the day started.
Mama left for work early. I barely got the kids ready in time to leave for school. (Jonny has a talent show today, in which he is performing “Hard Knock Life” from “Annie” and is dressed in a 3-piece suit)
Jonah was sent home from school 20 minutes after it started with a never-ending lip-bleed….
I’ve put on a show for Jonah and it looks like he may be falling asleep 😬
I’m supposed to be working so I’ve decided to just let him sleep if he does so I can get some quality work done… I’ll probably end up falling asleep on my computer anyways.
Meanwhile, the school carnival is tonight (after Jonah’s
“after-school” therapy) and it is supposed to rain. Jonah loves the water, but doesn’t like his clothes getting wet. (clothes have a tendency to “not stay on” when the smallest amount of water gets on them)
And then there’s bedtime tonight…
I need to get some work done NOW so I’m just pretending a good long nap for Jonah right now won’t effect him tonight and he’ll just go to sleep as he normally would (I mean, he HAS to sleep since I was the one up at 3:45AM). Right? Right. 🤪
