“Russell (our cat) is being rascally today! Is Russell autistic?” – Jonny
This is a completely honest question from my 9-year-old. There is no stigma attached to it.
Jonny doesn’t know any other people with autism, only his brother. And when Jojo does things that Jonny doesn’t understand, I remind Jonny about Jonah and autism.
Because there are many things that other people do that Jonah doesn’t understand as well.
So if Jonny asks you if you are autistic, there is literally no other implication. He wants to know if you are like his brother.
Jonny asks so that he can better understand.
