Hows your day going?
I’m writing this at about 7am, waiting for Jojo to wake up…
Yesterday, Jojo needed to leave Awana’s childcare again with about 20 minutes left. He held it together for so long…
A morning meltdown…3 hours of preschool… 2 hours of extended Autism program… an hour of ABA and then 2 hours of Awana childcare…
He hit a wall. He was done. I had to get him. I had to have another leader fill in for me to supervise the kids at my table. Jonny didn’t want to leave. He wanted to work on his memory verses. So I let him stay.
Jojo would not “stay.” So I packed him up in the car and left. I had no idea where we were going. We would just have to come back to get Jonny in…15 minutes now?
We went down to the grocery store. It was close. We needed milk…
…and cinnamon rolls?
…and …ooh wait… jojo’s low on diapers.
I went to get some and promptly forgot what size he wears. I was that stressed out.
Jojo’s a pretty big kid… so I picked the largest size they had… and got the biggest box possible.
5 minutes until Awana was done… I had to hurry.
I drove back to pick up Jonny. Luckily Jojo tolerated it. Usually when we return somewhere we just left, he will NOT be happy with that choice. But he was holding his cinnamon rolls and apparently that was his happiness.
We picked up Jonny, grabbed some fast food, and headed home.
I got the kids situated to eat with only 10 minutes until bedtime.
It was only then I realized… Jojo doesn’t actually WEAR diapers anymore. He’s too big.
He wears pull-ups.
It’s practically bedtime. And we are completely out.
I scoured the house to find some lost pullup that we may have left in the diaper bag and I believe I have found the very last one… We used it for bed time.
He’s still asleep.
I hope I can conjure another one up before we have to leave for preschool in like… half an hour?
