How do you guys do with your ASD and weddings?
There are times when we think “Jojo won’t be able to go to weddings” and that may be true.
For instance, one of my family members is getting married and has asked me to be their photographer. I know that Jojo is such a Daddy’s boy, that he will demand my attention while I am working. That is attention I won’t be able to split. So I won’t bring him. But that is our choice.
Weddings are about the bride and groom, and I wouldn’t want to take anything away from them.
On the other hand, families who acknowledge that Jojo has special needs and are accepting and inclusive, still inviting us (and him) even though they are aware of the implications are superstars!
