“RUSSELL! OUT!”
This is a HUGE step for a non-verbal, you guys.
Here’s why.
He didn’t scream at the cat.
He didn’t hit the cat or use a nonverbal method to address the situation.
He used words properly.
He addressed the cat BY NAME.
He was not prompted.
These are all milestones.
For all this cat puts us through, he sure likes being around Jonah, and you can tell they share a bond.
Russell will even go into his room at night and snuggle with him. I actually cannot stand when this happens at night because it wakes Jonah up and who knows what can happen.
But that cat has adopted Jonah.
That cat.
That darn cat.
