Lost Sleep

I always feel compelled to blog when I’ve lost sleep over my kid. I think it is to get some sort of validation for going through what every parent goes through.

I know every parent must know what it is like staying up with your kid who has a stuffed up nose and can’t go to sleep unless he is being held and then for only 20 minutes at a time. Maybe I blog it because I want to make sure my kid isn’t the only one who has gotten sick and stayed up almost all night…

…or maybe it is because yes, even though my kid is a prodigy at …something (most noticeably at gurgling right now) , and has an IQ of 11-million, he is still susceptible to sniffles and “boogeys in the nose” and I want to encourage all you other parents out there that “Even future rocket scientists/best-selling authors/professional hall-of-fame pitchers/MVP shooting guards/world-renown artists-poet-musicians (all by age 16)” can catch a cold every once in a while.

So hang in there.
