Jeepers Sleepers!

Mama’s back to work again so I have the entire night shift.

So last night went like this… Jonny slept from 9pm-11:30pm… ate and fussed until around 3:30 am (yes 4 hours of fussing) before falling asleep.

He got up around 7am this morning to eat, stayed up until around 8:30am, went back to sleep and has not gotten up yet (It is now 1:45 pm). It has been 5+ hours since he went down and I don’t want to wake him as I am working right now and getting lots done. (aside from taking a break to blog.

I wish he’d sleep like this at night, but I cannot wake him up in the daytime, even if I wanted to. (and when you do, you wish you hadn’t) My question to you… I know I will probably pay for letting him sleep all day tonight on my night shift again, but should I just let him keep sleeping so I can work, or should I wake him up so he’ll sleep better tonight but not get as many things done?

Either way, I am taking him to our babysitter’s tomorrow for a half day (the first time she will be watching him alone) so I will have time to work a half day at least (although i may end up sleeping it away the way this night is looking to shape up)

Oh oh wait, before I post this, the night before this one, he had his first real night of sleep and the best night of sleep for mommy and daddy in a very long time(only fussing for 1 hour between 11pm and 7am + feeding at 2am). I have never seen a kid swing from sleeping 5 hours at night to sleeping 5+ hours in the daytime.

growthspurt?

edit: I had originally posted this title as “Aaaack” as a better title had escaped me (as lots of coffee…like, and entire pot…and little sleep tends to do)I have since revised it.
