Dear God,
Thank you for another day. Thank you for my family and my kids and loved ones.
Please be with my kids as they are in school tomorrow. Be with them. Protect them. Keep them safe.
Be with those who have lost loved ones tonight. Wrap your loving arms around them.
Help me to better appreciate the people that I have and the time that I have here with them. Let me not take one minute for granted.
Help me to be a light in the darkness. Help me to bring hope to the afflicted and bind up the broken hearted.
But most of all, Lord, heal this land. Heal the hurt, the division, the strife. Bring us together.
Help us to work together to make today a better day than yesterday.
