Jonah is 11 and autistic. When Jonah was diagnosed with autism 8 years ago, he was completely nonverbal, and assigned a severity rating of “level 3” (severe). Back then, this situation would have caused him so much anxiety, it would have resulted in a meltdown. Now, he’s able to verbally communicate his anxieties which helps to alleviate them.
