I know from first hand experience that the adjustments you make to try and make life better for your autistic child, can leave you feeling quite isolated.

You’re not always able to attend the social occasions that you took for granted you would go to as a family, and start to see those who were close to you less often than you’d like to. You can’t just get a babysitter.
