There is one thing I know and that is sometimes this autism stuff is going to be hard. But through the ups and downs, you’ll learn a lot.
And it’ll change you. And it’ll change you for the better. Nobody has taught me more than Oakley has in this lifetime. He’s opened my eyes to so much, has changed my heart, and overall has made me a better person. He’s changed my perspective and has taught me all that I know to be true about life and love. So yes, there are going to be days that are hard. But there will be more days that will change you and shape you into the person and parent you’re suppose to be. Your child will reveal those parts of you. It’s beautiful, messy, and awe-filled. Just take their hand and let them lead the way. They know more than we do, y’all.
