I feel this in my SOUL. đ˘ [Love this from Stories About Autism]
For anyone else who needs to hear this tonight as well â¤ď¸ Iâve heard this sentence many times over the years from various teachers and professionals. Usually after a discussion about meltdowns and aggressive and violent behaviours Jude or Tommy are demonstrating. Behaviours that they rarely show around other people. Which can leave you feeling like itâs you who are doing something wrong. That youâre the trigger, the failure, the reason that your child is being so aggressive. And when you feel like that, those tough days hurt even more. Leave you wondering all kind of unhelpful thoughts. Today was one of those days. Iâm glad that others donât get to see the challenging behaviours, but I also wish I didnât have to either. That they just didnât happen. Meanwhile Iâll hold onto the thought that itâs because they feel safe and trust me. I hope thatâs what it is anyway â¤ď¸
