How have I been?
It’s hard to say. I feel tired. Not the kind of tired like I need to sleep (although there is that), but more of a “tired” like the boys are home all summer and I need to find outlets for them and plan their EVERY day (Jonah will NOT stay in the house) while also getting therapies lined up for them—all while trying to take care of my physical and mental health.
My brain is simply “full.” I’ve had very little head space to write, though there are many things I could write about…
Like the boys finishing school. Or Jonny turning 14. Or Jonah finishing up with the only teacher he’s known since he started kindergarten. Or his lingering anxieties and negative routines that have persisted since the pandemic. Or our awesome camping trip.
I just don’t have the energy. 😕
What do you do when you are a writer and you need your creative outlet, but you lack the mental energy to write?
You take pictures.
Lots of pictures.
I took this one yesterday… after enjoying several 90°(32°C) days, we got caught in the freezing rain in weather 30 degrees cooler just a day later. That’s all I got for now.

Hopefully more will come later… we’ll see.
(Oh. I’ve also tried my hand at TikTok. Mostly posting old videos I’ve already made because new ones are “too much effort” right now. So there’s that)…
