I took this picture a year ago and it came across my memories today. It is probably one of my all-time favorites of Jonah.
It perfectly captures his personality and his energy, his love of water and all things outdoors, the way he experiences life at 110%, and his joyous disposition.
It was freezing cold, but juuuust warm enough that Jojo wouldn’t catch hypothermia immediately after getting in the water.
You can’t see it, but I remember Jonah smiling with his whole body.
If I had a “core memory,” of going to the beach with Jojo during the pandemic, it would be encapsulated in this picture.
