This also solves the dilemma I was in… Jonah has school until 3:05, but has speech therapy at 3pm at an autism clinic about a half-hour drive away. So I would normally have him released from school at 2:30 and drive him myself. Jonny (who also needs to be picked up) is released at 2:30 from middle school. Typically, Papa would help out and pick him up for me, but Papa is out of town. So I was going to have to pick up Jonah at 2:30, drive down and get Jonny from middle school at …whenever I could get to him… say… 2:45… …drop Jonny off at home, and then drive the half an hour and be 15-20 minutes late for Jojo’s 40-min speech therapy appointment. But hey… if you throw up in the middle of the night, you can’t go to school, right? …or speech therapy. Problem solved! 🙄👍 Now I just have to figure out how to meet my work deadline from home while taking care of a kid who is probably just sick enough to not be able to go to school, but who is most likely okay enough to want to go to “all the places” as soon as the sun rises. 🤦♂️
