Jonny makes sure to tell me this at least 2 or 3 times a day.
This kid has been through a lot.
Through the sleepless nights, the surgeries, the therapies, the accommodations HE has been forced to make.
Sometimes I feel like I’m failing him, because with all the accommodations HE needs, I’m forced to ask him to MAKE accommodations at home for his little brother, because sometimes Jonah needs them more.
He always seems to get the short end of the stick.
But hearing, “I love you daddy. Thank you for being a good Daddy,” from him, despite all the sacrifices I ask him to make…

It makes me more determined to continue advocating for him, to make sure I am doing everything in my power to support him and keep him supported.
“I see you, Bubba. I will always be here for you. I will always fight for you. I see all the accommodations and sacrifices you are making and I want you to know that Daddy is so proud of you.”
