Every time we have a new teacher or specialist, I will grill them.

I know Jonah. I know how he will react to his environment. I need to know that this person is up to the task and can handle it.

I need to know that this person is not only a good instructor, but also a “safe person” should things “go south.”

So yes, sometimes it can feel a bit like an interrogation, but my child physically cannot tell me about his day when I am not there.

I am literally trusting this person with my child’s life.

It is my job as a parent to keep him safe.
