Sensory overload.

Sensory overload.

When Jonah starts experiencing sensory overload, he covers his ears. He starts throwing things and he starts hitting.

This has been the most challenging thing for us. When he is with me, it is easier for him to self-regulate…

When he is with others, the behaviors increase… and he is usually around other kids.

My biggest worry when I am not with him is that he will hurt himself or someone else.

This is why we continue to work on coping strategies.

As he grows older, he will grow stronger.

And I won’t always be around.
