Every night, when I put Jonah to bed almost immediately, he gets back up.

Every night, when I put Jonah to bed almost immediately, he gets back up.

He used to run around the house, but no longer.

Now, he gets up and says, “I want hug-gies!” while climbing into our bed.

He wants me to snuggle with him for a bit.

It doesn’t need to be a long time. Just a minute or two.

And the I say “okay!” And he runs back into his room and climbs back into bed.

I’ll sit on the floor in his room until he falls asleep. (Like I’m doing right now.)

It has become a bedtime routine. And I for one LOVE it.

I wouldn’t trade “hug-gies” time for the WORLD.
