We’ve hit a milestone and I didn’t even realize it…
I took the boys to McDonalds for lunch today. Jonny’s still a bit under the weather so that’s about as much activity as I wanted to try with him.
Jonah had a GREAT experience today. Last time we went a few months ago, I ended up apologizing to an entire family. Jonah kept slapping and hitting kids who climbed faster than him up the stairs of the play area.
Not today.
Jonah did great playing with all the other kids… waiting for his turn to play with preferred things or redirecting himself to something else for a while.
He sat and ate his food in a big boy chair. I didn’t have to use a high chair.
He didn’t need to be strapped in to eat at Easter brunch yesterday either.
I’ve not put him in his stroller in WEEKS!
He holds my hand when I grab it and he hasn’t bolted in A LONG TIME.
I’m hesitant to post this because superstitious… and I don’t want to break the streak (I better knock on wood).
I don’t know if this is a milestone or a fortuitous “streak” but either way, I’ll take it.
