How do your Ausome kids do with their siblings?

Yesterday was national siblings day. I meant to post something… but I didn’t. (Because life)

I asked Jonny what it means to be a “big brother.” Here’s what he said.

“It means helping Mommy and Daddy with Jonah.”

Jonah and Jonny have really grown close over the last couple weeks.

Jonny has been sick and home from school lately. Jonah got to spend extra time with him over the break.

Jonah doesn’t want Jonny to go anywhere without him.

And Jonah has learned to push all Jonny’s buttons… And Jonny knows how to “return the favor.”

But even though they have different interests, Jonny goes out of his way to do things that Jonah likes so that they can do them together.

If he is at school or being babysat, he is sure to tell us about Jonah’s day…

Because being a big brother means looking after Jonah when we are not around. It means making sure he is being included in everything and not being bullied.

And he is a good big brother.
