How did today go?
Well, Jonny could not stop coughing. He’s got a bit of a cold.
Jonah thought it was HILARIOUS every time Jonny coughed. He would giggle uncontrollably.
Jonny would get self-conscious about it. He’d start whining at Jonah to “stAahhp!” Which (of course) made Jonah laugh more.
Jonah would then pretend to cough to try to entice Jonny to cough some more, which of course, he did, to Jonah’s absolute DELIGHT…
Jonny would then whine at me, “Daddy!! Jonah’s pushing all my buttons!!”
To which I reply, “I think you’ll be all right. Go to your room for a while.”
Jonny: “ But I don’t WANNA go to my room!!”
Me: “then deal with it, Jonny…”
Jonah hadn’t even said a word. He still managed to get under his brother’s skin. And he did it with a smile…
Little brothers… 🙂
It’s funny. Beneath all the medical stuff, all the labels, all the “stuff”…
Beneath it all, they are still “brothers.” And sometimes, brothers get on each others nerves. That’s just life.
And I love the interaction they are having, even if Jonny doesn’t at the time…
After a few minutes, I redirected Jonah who started playing with me instead…
So of course, who wanted to play with Jonah after that and started “coughing on purpose” to get Jonah laughing?
Jonny, of course…
Big brother.
