This is me. Pretty much every night. Except it goes a little more like this:
“He said he wants ‘huggies’ and I let him snuggle on top of me on the floor of his room… so he wasn’t slamming his bedroom door over and over and keeping the entire house up… but Ugh. It’s been 3 hours… He’s not asleep yet is he. Wait… Is he? I can’t risk putting him back in bed yet… It’s taken SO long to get him to this point. I can’t sleep like this. My back is KILLING ME…Even if he IS asleep, he’s gonna wake up in an hour and waltz into our room or wherever… Maybe I should go sleep on the couch… ‘Mama’ can deal with it, then. She has to be at work in the morning, though.. but still… he’ll probably come find me on the couch… or he’ll wander around the house looking for me…
…eh I’m too tired. I’m just gonna put him in his bed and ‘see how it goes.’ I’ll just have to put extra coffee on tomorrow.”
