It was supposed to be a quick trip to the store to get Jonny some pants.

Jonny and Mama started getting ready to leave.

Jonah saw them getting their coats on and he went and brought me his coat as well with a big smile. He wanted to go to.

So we made a family trip of it to the store…

Jonah ran his usual lap around the mall. Mama and Jonny got their shopping done. It was almost time to leave.

Then, Jonny discovered they put a new Dave & Buster’s in…

Crazy times ensued. Jonah found games he liked playing and ran around everywhere.

When it was time to leave, he started crying. He laid on the floor.

This has been the “fun part” in the past. The “leaving.” We have used strollers in the past to get him moving or keep him from eloping, but he has outgrown all of them.

So there he was crying on the floor…

We kept walking. And bless his heart, he for up off the floor and followed us…crying and all. He has come a long ways.

A police officer approached me to make sure he was indeed my kid (and not a lost child). So thanks Mr. Officer…

By the time we got to the exit, he had stopped crying and had even bounced back…

He earned himself a trip to McDonalds when we were done.

What was supposed to be a quick trip to the store ended up being a fun-filled memory for the whole family…
