Do your kids throw t…

Do your kids throw things when they are anxious?

Jonah’s response to just about anything he doesn’t like is to throw something.

So I’ve been trying to reintroduce Jonah to bananas. It’s really the only fruit he’s ever liked. He ate them pretty well until sometime last year, when he decided he didn’t like them anymore.

So the other day, I was cutting up a banana and trying to sneak it on to his plate. I turned my back to walk to the sink and I heard a “splat” of banana hitting (what I thought was) the floor.

Except when I went to clean it up, it wasn’t on the floor. It wasn’t anywhere around him. I couldn’t find it ANYWHERE.

You guys, it drove me nuts.

I KNEW I heard a piece of banana splat on a surface in my kitchen.

After a good 15 minutes, I finally gave up looking for it and resigned myself to the fact that my kitchen would always smell a bit like bananas…to go along with the smell of dried milk, craft paint, and now ground pepper… (see yesterday’s post)

…Just another day with a Jojo.

But then randomly, today hiding right above a craft he made of himself hanging on the wall…

(I had to take a picture because it is pretty much summed up the day)

Seriously, kid.
