“SNOW!”… (video)

“SNOW!”

Jonah looked wistfully outside at the fluffy white innocent-looking snowflakes (whom I have determined fall from an angry sky with evil filling their rotten, no-good little wet frozen hearts).

I hoped desperately it wouldn’t stick.
I prayed it was only a “light dusting.”

I should have known.

Because even if it’s just a “little snow,” it doesn’t matter to Jojo.

Snow falling at home is the equivalent of winning the meteorological lottery for Jonah.

He brought me his snow boots, grinning from ear to ear.

I had no idea where his snow gear even was.

Undeterred, Jonah started putting on his snow boots. No socks. Not even out of his jammies yet.

Well crap.

I figured I better start dressing to be outside in the freezing cold for the next several hours.

Jonah was not on the mood to wait.

Jonah was not in the mood to even put on clothes. (Unless they were specifically “snow clothes.”)

He wanted snow pants and a jacket. I had to break out the orange “peanuts” shirt he wore for like 10 days straight in order to just get a shirt on him.

In the end, he ran outside with snow pants and a shirt and jacket, one glove, and a Nemo Hat.

I barely had time to get a coat and hat on before he ran out into the snow (where he stayed for the next several hours)…

I stayed with him and about froze to death.

But how do you say “no” to this face?
