My second epic parenting fail in as many days.
Late last night in a desperate bid to get Jonah to fall asleep I made a drink and laced it with melatonin.
Jonah had already had a lot of “untainted” stuff to drink at bedtime so he barely drank any of the “good” stuff.
He was just “up” for a long while last night.
Not wanting to waste said drink, I saved it for later.
He came home from school this afternoon, thirsty as usual.
I was so tired I forgot what was in this particular drink…
…until it was too late.
It’s 4pm and he’s still OUT. COLD.
“I am not a veteran parent. I am merely a beginner.”
