How do you “unwind?”
This is how I close out every day. Reflecting on our day, under the sensory lights, on the floor of Jonah’s room.
Today was a good day. He had a good day at school (I think?).
We got a babysitter (who used to be Jonah’s nanny so she ‘knows’ him) and had friends over for a play date. Jonny got to play with his friends and Jonah had a cute little toddler to keep company. I was a little worried, but as per the norm (I can’t believe this is a norm!) Jonah rocked it!
In the past when we have had lots of kids over, I would have to take Jonah to my parents. But not any more. The kid LOVES having friends over now.
My wife and I got to go on a kid free double-date! How cool is that???
It. Was. Glorious!
And now Jonah is asleep in his own bed (and not on top of me) so I will bid you a good night as well!
