This morning, Jonah came up to me and pulled me toward his dismantled marble run toy.
He had “that smile.”
You know the one. The smile that means either “I am going to do something I know I shouldn’t do to rile you up”
or…
“LOOK WHAT I CAN DO!”
He was saying, “c… C… C!! s… S… S!!”
I didn’t understand at first. This was something he had never done with me before.
And then the realization hit me.
The SHAPE of the individual pieces resembled letters of the alphabet.
So I picked up a curvy one and asked, “What letter?”
He burst into laughter and shouted “S!!!”
Amongst the pieces he found.
“o, g, s, J, i, r c”
He was so proud of himself.
His Daddy is a little bit too. đ
