Sometimes you have to sacrifice one thing to do another. And it’s not always easy to decide which.
Last week, Jojo didn’t make it through Awana. He didn’t nap all day. He had school, ABA and Awana. Something had to give. It was Awana.
I had to get him out of childcare for the first time ever because he was having a rough time. He was exhausted.
Today, Jojo fell asleep bringing home Jonny from school. On the docket was school, extended day program, ABA, and Awana. A jam packed day.
His therapist came over after school and extended day. Jojo was already out cold. We tried to wake Jojo up. He wouldn’t budge.
I told the therapist he could leave. I’ve done that at least once every week now. I don’t even feel bad anymore doing it.
I really wanted to be able to teach Awana tonight so I didn’t push it and Jojo slept for 2 hours before I had to wake him up to leave for Awana at like 5:30.
He was an angel tonight at childcare. He did a craft with the other kids. That doesn’t happen! He was patiently sitting on a chair waiting for me to pick him up at 8:30.
It was great.
We got our usual fast food on the way home…
The only problem …
The reason I’m writing this now…late at night… on the floor of his bedroom…

… he took a late two hour nap.
