I’m grateful for a family who “gets it.”

I’m grateful for a family who “gets it.”

Who understands that my child is ‘my child,’ and that I know him better than anyone else.

I’m grateful for peers and friends who are accommodating to us and are willing to go the extra mile to meet our needs.

Those who don’t abandon us just because we may not be able to get together as often or do ‘social events,’ but will pick up a friendship right where it left off, regardless of the time between. For therapists that give me space to ‘parent’ even if they have suggested something different. To those who “get it.”

To those that realize that nobody knows my child better than his mother and me. Thank you.
