This came up on my p…

This came up on my personal memories today.

I shot this the day we took Jonah home from the hospital back in 2013.

He very rarely cried as an infant. He didn’t even cry when he was born. I just thought this was a cute shot of he and Jonny.

It became much more.

It was about this time last year we got on waiting lists for an official diagnosis. It was about this time that I started going through the realization that Jonah was indeed autistic and it completely turned my world upside down.

I reposted this picture a year ago.

This picture represents all the emotions I was processing a year ago today, when the idea of autism first entered our lives.

I think that all autism parents experience this with the initial realization of autism in a child for the first time.

We have all come so far since this image was taken.

I know Jonny will always look out for his little brother…regardless of the circumstances. Even after I am gone.

But this picture will always hold a special place in my heart.
