Does anyone out there work from home?
I work from home. I also parent WHILE I work. It can get tiring.
I do graphic design and am in the middle of a job where I had to wait at for material from a client to mock it up, and get it back to them by the end of the day, which meant I couldn’t go anywhere, but I might have to turn around the work at ANY time. So I had to wait…with a toddler also vying for my attention.
So I have to split my attention… Interruptions are common. It can be hard to do both well.
Throw an ausome toddler into the mix and you have today.
When I need to be home for the day, it usually means the house will be destroyed. I try to pick all the mess up from the day, but when the mess-maker is still making messes, it’s a bit like trying to dry off with a wet towel.
Today we had a day at home. Sometimes I’ll let Jojo sit on my lap and open my “photobooth” on the computer in a side window while I’m working.
Sometimes, I don’t know how I’m supposed to get anything done with how cute this kid is. đ
