Translating my non-verbal son (video)

watch with sound

We are still working on Jonah’s speech.

But while he is non-verbal, Jonah is dependent upon us to understand his non-verbal cues.

When that process breaks down, meltdowns can occur so I do my best at reading him.

This is an example of how I interpret what he is saying to me.

Notice how he “touches softly” (unprompted) at the end after hitting me?? #smallvictories
