We took the kids to Great Wolf Lodge last weekend for New Years.

While we were gone, my family recruited some help, snuck in our house and deep cleaned the whole thing.

I’m talking the entire bathroom, floors, oven, fridge, even raking the leaves I haven’t gotten to since last September.

It was such a joy and relief to come home from a fun, but stressful trip to a spotless house and no extra work to be done at home.

I can’t tell you how much it means to have that checked off the ‘to-do’ list. Cleaning is always the item that you can never quite get to as a parent, and even if you do, the work is quickly undone.

So a big thank you to my family, though “thank you” just doesn’t seem like enough.

And a big thank you to all the other families of special needs individuals. We love what you do!
