I’m flying!

I was going to write a lengthy, yet witty blog about our happenings, but it is late already and I am resorting to a brief synopsis.

Jonny is asleep and I already feel guilty for not being the same…what am I, crazy? It’s like 10:15 pm and the baby is sleeping!… run run!

Jonny is sleeping at night, through the night, nearly every night…(10pm – roughly 7am) maybe getting up once or twice to feed… Last night he didn’t get up at all. went down at about 10pm, got up about 7am with barely a wet diaper (How is that possible?). However, between the hours of 7 am and 12 noon he consumed 20 ounces of milk. (think 1 bottle = 5-6 oz) That’s a Venti milk folks, in 5 hours….(again how is that possible?)

Also, a GOOD nap for him during the day is oh… 45 minutes. usually he sticks to the 10-15 minute cat naps, 3 times a day which allows him the sleepiness at night to go these 8-10 hour stretches. Hey, I’m not complaining though. It’s as if he’s already established a ‘grown-up’ sleep schedule. I just wish I could do the cat naps during the day too.

Also, Jonny’s dexterity is becoming better and better. He recently began using his hands to grab things, most recently Mama’s hair. As a matter of fact last night while Mama was rocking Jonny to sleep on her lap, Jonny decided to grab Mama’s hair by both hands, pull her head down, lift his head up, and bite her square on the nose. Then after releasing her let out a squeal of delight that mommy and daddy were laughing uncontrollably at it and decided to do it another half-dozen times or so. It was adorable. He tries to do it to me but runs into 2 problems

a) I don’t have hair long enough to pull and
b) My nose is not near the right shape for a baby to bite…it is far too flat.

You will notice Mama’s nose is about a perfect fit.

I will upload a video of it next time but it takes far too long and I’d honestly rather sleep.
