Look.
Behind every”fix” or “cure” or “preventative measure” is an agenda.
“Blame big pharma.”
“Blame the medical field.”
“Blame insurance companies.”
“Blame the agricultural industry.”
“Blame PARENTS.”
There’s always someone or something to blame.
And there’s a “quick fix” that comes with a price.
It’s not a complex neuro-developmental behavioral condition with a vast spectrum of differences and co-occurring conditions, all with multiple differing individual causes…
No. No. No.
“It’s a simple problem with a simple solution, yes sir!”
We’ve worked it all out here at the lab and that solution can be yours for just a 19.99 monthly subscription (plus shipping and handling.)”
Gut-health! Probiotics! Leucovorin!
(We’ve tried none of these by the way)
I have not seen a peer-reviewed consensus on any of these “cures” from the scientific community for any form of Autism at a societal level over time.
But they sure do come with a hefty price tag that insurance usually won’t cover.
This is something that parents deal with on the daily, and it does need attention.
But I think it’s absolutely disingenuous that this is being done on a political stage.
I don’t care who is in office or what the party politics are.
I appreciate how politicians can put a spot light on a specific subject, and get a nation wanting answers, but it introduces an inherent political bias into the conversation.
Many people won’t accept the conclusion regardless of the veracity of it simply because of the person or administration that presented it.
And this impacts people on both sides of the aisle.
Any new “findings” should come straight from the field or institution that conducted the research, so data can be reviewed without suspicion or bias.
Autism has no political party.
